Version Problems

I loaded AutoCad 2011. I have my preference set to save files as AutoCad 2000/2000LT. I am the only one in my group using 2011. Now when I save a file, other users can't open the file. they are using AutoCad 2005LT or later versions. I was previously using 2010 and having no issues. Can anyone help me?

Have you tried saving back to DWG 2004 format?
