Using License from 2012 AutoCAD LT CD to enable 2011 AutoCAD LT

Hey Folks,

The Company that I work for currently runs AutoCAD LT 2011 and has not yet made the change to 2012 because it requires all sorts of red tape, etc, etc.  I installed LT 2011 (but have not yet licensed) on my computer and purchased what I thought was a license in order to enable the software.  The license showed up in the form of an AutoCAD LT 2012 CD.  I was informed by our software supplier that you cannot purchase license's to older versions of the software and must purchase the most recent version to enable the old version that we currently use.  I cannot install LT 2012 due to company rules, etc.  Does anyone know how I can use/migrate the license from my 2012 CD in order to enable my 2011 software?

Thanks for any feedback you can provide,

Hunter
