Uninstalling Client install removing files from network

I am running a client install of LDT3, Civil Design 3, Survey 3 and Raster
Design 3 on Win2000. We also have express tools and all the extensions
installed. I have modified the SDSK.dfm file so most of the paths are
pointing to a shared directory on our network. I have also modified several
of the search paths in Autocad to point to the shared directories on our
network. I was having a problem generating reports from the vertical
alignment editor in Civil Design. Our reseller was able to get the reports
to work, so we tried a new setup on another computer and it worked also. I
then decided I was going to uninstall all of LDT3 and reinstall. I did this
and it still didn't fix the problem so I wanted to make sure that the
service pack 1 for Civil Design was installed properly, I uninstalled the
vertical alignment editor extension, the road output extension and Civil
Design so I could reinstall them with installing the service pack last. That
still didn't fix the problem. A couple of days later, I realized that most
of the files that we had originally copied to our shared directory on the
network were missing. I was listed as the deletor of these files and the
deletion date was the day I was doing the uninstall and reinstall. I am not
sure if it was the original uninstall or the second uninstall of Civil
Design that removed the files.

So we would be using the same files on all our systems for LDT, I had copied
the entire c:\program files\land desktop 3\data directory and subdirectories
to our network and changed the paths for these directories in the sdsk.dfm
file on each system. The files that were deleted were the default files from
the original install that we had just copied to the network. The files we
had modified in the network directories were not deleted. We had this same
setup with LDD 2i and didn't have this problem when uninstalling and
reinstalling LDD2i to troubleshoot a problem. I will be getting a new
computer within the next week and after I get the new system, I am going to
try uninstalling LDT3 from my current system to see if the file deletion
happens again.

Has anyone else seen this problem? I would think that the uninstall program
would keep track of where the original files were installed so they would be
removed during the uninstall. The uninstall looks like it looked at the
sdsk.dfm file for the paths to the files.

Thanks
