Unable to save to network drive

When running Autocad under Win98, we are unable to save our files from
directly inside Autocad to a network drive on a Win2K server when access
permission is set to permit all except delete files and folders (set to
deny). Autocad will tehn save it as a temp file. Works fine if you save
locally and copy to network drive. Works fine also when delete file and
folders is set to permitted. Any ideas?

Win98 is notorious for this kind of problem... Try updating you network card drivers
first. After that it generally becomes a "packet sniffing" solution to try to figure out
what exactly is going on. If it isn't the network card on the w98 machine many times the
server isn't responding to file operation requests fast enough to make the client happy
and this is what happens.
