Unable to Transfer License for Building Design Suite Ultimate 2012

I have tried the License Export Utility on the old machine but I get an error message

Export Request Failed. The serial nuimber you entered is not valid.

possibly that serial number was upgraded if it was the license transfer will not work

You will need to provide your serial number and the request code.

When I try to use the "Ask for Assistance" the form requires a request code. It suggest to launch the product and the request code will appear at the top of the screen. However when I launch the application it gets stxk on the splash screen with "Checking license..." at the bottom of the screen. Because Request code is a required field I am unable to submit the form.

The other option of calling Autodesk also requires a Request Code that I am unable to get to.
