Two FLEXlm managers on one server

I have received my AutoCAD 2006 with FLEXlm 10.1.5 and would like to install the new FLEXlm while keeping the old one around for a while. I have about 5 other software packages using the old version 9.2 FLEXlm and want to transition them over in an orderly fashion.
The installation guide implies that you can have two versions running (on p. 25 it says, "If you choose a different installation folder, you will have two versions of the Network License Manager on the computer).
Has anyone done it this way and had success?
Thanks,
Jay

I was working on a XP Pro workstation last night that had 2 FlexLM's running different ESRI license managers and that seemed to work O.K.

Are you only managing Autodesk licenses or are you also managing other
vendor's licenses too? If you are only controlling Autodesk licenses then I
recommend that you migrate all licenses to the new version of FLEXlm. If
you are controlling other vendor's licenses too then it may be desirable to
run both versions of FLEXlm. In the later case you will need to assign
ports to each instance of FLEXlm (lmgrd). If you get this wrong nothing may
work so carefully read the HTML documents that get installed to your FLEXlm
server folder or enlist some experienced help.

I have not tried to have two installations but I have features from several
vendors combined without any problem.
The only problem I have noted is that 10.1.5 has a minor bug. It reports
more licenses than there actually is in some cases. 10.0.0 and earlier
doesn't have this problem though.

As noted above, I am running several different software packages from other vendors. Thanks for the heads up on the port assignments. I have stayed away from port assignments, but it is probably a good thing to do anyway.

Were you careful about port assignments as noted by Jerry Milana below?

I think by default the license managers used different ports.
