TrueView 2011 silent install with SCCM/SMS

Has anyone been able to do this successfully with this product and if so, how?

Thanks!

Yes I have just tried to install it.

without any customization simply using commandline

(please note there is no absolute path to the server)

setup.exe /w /t /q setup.ini

if you post the install log we could help you to troubleshoot

It works great, there is only one disadvantage ... the setup will initiate a reboot of the machine after installation. Is there a way to supress the reboot with a command line parameter?

Normally I would use MSIEXEC, but unfortunatly I don't get it working in combination with sccm2007.

Sorry dont have a simple answer for this.

Usually it is one of the pre-requisite which is forcing the restart. it really depends on the what are existing versions you have for these.

One option is you can try is to add  " /norestart" in the command line

Also

We might be able to do some additional parameters in the setup.ini for individual pre-requisites not to force reboot. This needs some testing.

If Windows Installer needs to be updated the system might force a reboot.

Hashim, thanks for your reply.

The parameter has unfortunatly no effect. The machine restarts also if the prerequisites are already installed. Do you know if it can be included within the setup.ini?

By the way, an aborted GUI setup before installation of the software will also prompt for a reboot, although nothing changed.
