I am having the same issue and then it cannot locate the dwgviewr.msi... any ideas?
Same prolem here. Earlier version worked. When opening drawing in Design Review it said needed latest version of DWG TrueView. Downloaded from Autdesk web site and now stuck. Looks like a 32 bit version was downloaded. Can't find 64-bit version although have seen references to one on other discussion groups.
My system: Windows 7, 64bit
Did a little searching on the Autodesk web site. Go here
http://images.autodesk.com/adsk/files/adr2012_install_guide.htm#InstallADRManual
and follow directions for Manual Installation using the Bootstrap Installer (click on link)
Takes some time but it worked for me. I guess it gets around the downloaded version not having all the installation files compressed into it (the missing dwgviewr.msi file). Come on Autodesk, you can do better than this.
Good Luck
Andy
I realized I was trying to install the 32 bit version on my 64 bit system. I found the 64 bit verision here http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/item?siteID=123112&id=9555277 and downloaded it. It works now. I appreciate everyone's feedback.
