Student license for autocad 2010 in windows 8.1

Hello

I had a student license for autocad 2010 which worked just fine untill yesterday when i've upgraded my windows 8 to windows 8.1.

From some reason it gives me a 7 day trial and the activation code does not help me.

What should I do?

Thanks.

2010 is not supported in Win8 or WIn8.1
You are out of luck.

As a student, you can get the more current 2014 versions of Autodesk products free too: upgrade.

hagarlushi,

Windows 8.1 is a brand new environment and 2010 was developed 4 years ago. The environment is simply too new and was not available for the testing or programming phase of the 2010 product.

You could try to uninstall and reinstall, but this is no guarantee as it is untested. Your best option is to install on a supported platform or upgrade to the latest version. I suppose you could uninstall 8.1, but I would still assume the product needs an uninstall and reinstall.
