The uninstall should remove all the registry settings that control this.
Just reboot before reinstalling. There are registry cleaning utilities at
www.autodesk.com (search the Knowledgebase); that's better than editing it
by hand. What does (getvar "_linfo") return?

Hello.
Our company has a mix of both Stand-alone and network copies of AutoCAD.
Recently I un-installed several users network versions and replaced them
with stand-alone copies. AutoCAD is working fine, but the stand-alones are
still checking out a license off the network pool. I've removed the
ACADSERVER variable in the environment settings. Is there something in the
registry I need to remove? Any help is greatly appreciated! -Thanks. Paul T.
