Hello,
I have been experiencing this problem since today i have got 3DS Max, yes i know i need to delete CascadeInfo.cas, but i haven't got it on my PC, running on Windows 8. I only see productinformation.pit and that's it.
I haven't got any clue how to fix this.
I hope you guys may be able to help me out..
Greetings,
Weecow

Have you tested all the connectivities to your license manager? PING to verify IPv4? Tested ports 2080 and 27000? The CascadeInfo.cas file will not be created until it makes a valid connection. I suspect firewall or IPv6 is the issue.

Then I assume you have the stand-alone activated license version?

Weecow,
Hello. Not sure why you would need to delete the cascadeinfo.cas file. So far, Cascaldeinfo.cas has nothing to do with your issue. And please do not delete your Pit file. I am guessing you are a standalone installation. We see this error occasionally with a standalone. If you are a network, this is totally different. If you don’t know if you are using a network seat, you need to talk to your IT manager. If you are just a one man shop- likely standalone.
You need to uninstall and reinstall. I have a process for you. First, uninstall the program through the Control Panel.
After this, run the MS Fixit uninstaller and see if the product still lists. If it does, uninstall it.

Next, delete the MAX program folders in these locations (they should be clearly named).
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\
C:\Users\All Users\Autodesk\
C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\
C:\Users\**YOUR USERID**\AppData\Local\Autodesk\
After these are deleted, I would reinstall as an admin with UAC and antivirus turned off.
