Softimage 2011 Crash on startup.

My Softimage 2011 Student version keeps crashing on startup. I do not see anything except for a windows console that flashes for about .5 seconds and nothing else happens. I am using Wins 7 NVIDIA Geforce 9400 GT graphics Card with the latest driver.

Softimage would open a few days ago without any issues but now it won't.

You might consider a System Restore back to when your application was working properly.

I would consider doing a system restore, but I did not do anything in particular to cause this problem. Which makes me think that I would have to do a system restore everytime I need to use Softimage.

It's worth trying at least once.  Maybe it was a Windows Update or other change that didn't require your input?

Yes, I considered that right after I made my reply. Unfortunately, my restore points do not go back far enough for the problem to be solved. Last restore point was on the day that the issue arose.

Okay, I tried running runonce.bat and nothing happened. When I open Softimage and look at my task manager under proccesses I see that XSI.exe is one of the processes. What does that mean?
