I am doing a largish networkinstallation of MDT4 (AutoCAD 2000) at a
customersite. The problem --question-- is: how can I get the
option-command to work faster.
The setup is as follows:
AutoCAD and MDT4 are installed from the server to local hdd, C:\MDT4.
The Plotter Configuration Files and Plotter Styles and the
Template-files are on the server.
The Options (Preferences, config) command takes over a minute to start!
I tried to do a similar installation in the office using plain vanilla
AutoCAD2000, but wasn't able to eplicate the situation.
The networkingenvironment is 100 MHz , using TCP/IP-protocol with NT4.0
servers and WS's. The Worksations are between 350-500 MHz Pentiums with
between 128 - 512 MB RAM. The slowness didn't really differ any between
