Silent Uninstall Inventor 2010

Hi,

As an IT Officer in a school we have recently decided we will need to upgrade our inventor version to 2011.

As there are several labs to do this on I would ideally like to do this silently.

I can happily deploy it silently but is there a way to uninstall silently??

Thanks

Warwick

You can use the tool mentioned here; it should work for 2010 too.

Hi,

I already found the uninstall tool.

Is there a command line option with this product?

If so do you know what they are??  I cannot find any documentation which says what the command line options are.

Regards

To uninstall inventor 2010 32bit, run the commands in sequence:

msiexec /x {52969324-463B-4643-BF36-854BE2BECB89} /q

msiexec /x {7F4DD591-1400-0409-0000-7107D70F3DB4} /q

To uninstall inventor 2010 64bit, run the commands in sequence:

msiexec /x {F763AC14-3F26-4161-9567-11D5260AD4FE} /q
msiexec /x {144B2F95-E2C6-4317-94E7-0B9B03F133B7} /q
If you want to see the basic uninstall progress bar, change the parameter "/q" to "/qb".
If your Operation System is Windows Vista or Windows 7, and you User Access Control is on (if you don't know what it is, just assume it's on and do as the following first), please make sure to launch an administrator command window and execute the commands in the administrator window.
The way to launch an administrator command window:
Go to Start menu -> All Programs -> Accessories, right click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as administrator", then an administrator command window is launched.
Hope this helps Smiley Tongue.
