Service Pack 2 Installation and ADLM

I am using a Map 4.5 license across a Windows2k network
using ADLM and installing the software as a client
application. The client application can't be updated with
the service pack, but how do you update the image on the
server? Is it possible to use the live update? I put the
manual download *.exe into the image folder, and nothing
appeared to happen.

As far as I know (which isn't really that much) you must run the sp on each
client individually. I recommend that you log into each client machine,
which has acad installed, with an account that has admin privledges and then
run the sp. (Sidebar: With NT/2000 I like to grant the "normal user" of the
machine admin priveledges for installs, but we have fairly severe security
policy in place). Re-boot the machine (it's probably not req'd, but
generally a good idea), log in with admin priv' again, run Map once (just to
make sure everything updates). Log out, and log in as whatever the normal
user on that machine is (with whatever his "normal" rights are) and run map
and check for any errors. I don't know of any way to "slipstream" service
packs into a network deployment.
