We have 212 NLM licenses of autodesk Products.
The service is running ok inside the LAN, and through the WAN via VPN, no problems in there.
But we want to publish the server to the web, because we have users sccatered through more than 30 cities.
We published the server with DMZ, opened the Ports 2080 and 27000 through 27010.
we can ping the server from the client machine, but the software is not running. it sends an error: "Failed to obtain the IP Adress of the machine SERVERNAME"
we will control the users through a OPT File that it is working fine.

Technically, opening up your NLM to the Internet is not only dangerous, but it violates the license agreement. In any case, your issue is likely one that can be solved with a hosts file entry and a FLEXLM_TIMEOUT system environment variable.
