Server Name Change

Hi,

Our company is in the process of standardize naming convention.  We have an Autodesk_ECS_Ultimate_2013 network license server named serverA

My question is

If we rename serverA to serverB, do we need to request a new license file? or

Can we modify the existing license file to the new serverB?

(ex.  SERVER servername MAC_ADDRESS)

Thank you,

Welcome to the community Desomd!

You can change the server hostname, however editing the MAC address or any other aspect of the license file (except port numbers) will have a negative impact and or render the license useless.

To obtain a new license file either contact our License Assistance Team or navigate to http://register.autodesk.com/

Please accept as a solution if this fully answers your inquiry, or reply with additional questions as needed.
