Just brought a book introducing Maya 8 3D for Beginners need serial number for the cd which came with the book

Maya 8 PLE doesn't really have a serial number. It does have a 'code' that will allow you to install it. This should be on the read me file or in the book.

Which version are is the Maya PLE? 8.0 or 8.5

In autodesk3dsmax 2010 trialversion registration problem is in the forum of Product Registration & Activation.
It shows in Enter Product Serial Number that "the serial number you entered is not valid.Try again(Error 2,12 etc).
but the serial number of this product is 000-00000000

All zeroes will allow you to install the product and run as a trial, however you cannot activate a trial version. You will need to purchase a valid license to activate the product beyond the trial.
