I have the activation code, but the fact is that when I have already installed the product they don't ask me for any activation, so now I don't know how long I will have the students version. When I open the program they don't ask me about the serial number or anything like that, so how do I know I got the full version?

So in the chase I have the 30 days trial version, can I use the serial number they gave me to activate the program?

Hi anna.lopez.ribo,

Once activated, the activation code is sent via email for reference only and there is no need to re-use it. If the software was running in a trial mode, you would be prompted to either continue using the trial or activate at startup.

I have a serial number and product key under my software. When I try to install AutoCAD 2013 for mac, it says the serial number and product key don't match. What do I do?

Hello i been trying to Install Autocad 2013 on my Mac student version, I have my serial # and product key but when i put them on it says the the product key/serial doesnt match. whats going on? i have put them exactly as the way they send them to me. any help would be greatly appreciated.

The product key for AutoCAD for MAC 2013 is  777E1. You may find the list of our 2013 products here. Please try again and should you encounter any further issue, provide us a screen shot and further details so that we may investigate.

There is actually a known issue with AutoCAD for Mac licenses issued from the Education Community.

Please refer to the this page for a workaround for your AutoCAD for Mac Activation issue. Specifically:

If you are using AutoCAD for Mac, you can activate the software by:

1) choosing to install the software in trial mode 
2) when launching the program in trial mode (once installed) you will be faced with run / continue in “trial mode” or “activate” - select the activation option 
3) follow the process (enter Serial Number and Product Key) to circumvent the previous issue and allow for a proper activation

My Sketchbook Pro 2011 trial is quickly coming to an end, and I need to be able to use the software for school projects. Has there been any updates regarding the registration key problem I mentioned earlier? In addition, it seems like Sketchbook Pro has been completely removed from the download center. When will it be available once more? Will Sketchbook Pro 6 be available soon? This issue has been quite an inconvenience for me, so I would greatly appreciate it if some assistance could be provided.

Since  Sketchbook Pro 2011 is no longer being offered in Education Community, your only option is to have it activated if you have a valid commercial serial number and product key. Or purchase Sketchbook Pro 6 through our online store or through Apple website.

We currently do not have available information if Sketchbook Pro 6 will be available in Education Community, but please feel free to check the downloads page from time to time for updates.

Hi, I'm a college student from Belgium following a study to become a game developper. So obviously I needed to download 3DsMax, which I did. However I was told that I am not allowed to use the student version that I had installed so I wanted to switch to the other version. Since licenses will only be sold the 11th of october at school I can't use that version yet so I downloaded the trial until I can upgrade it with the license I'll be buying.

Now this is where my problem starts. When I try to open the trial version I get a messagebox asking me for the serial and product key. I don't have this yet and I thought the trial would be accessible no matter what. I really need to use 3Ds Max soon, I can't wait for the 11th. I looked around for answers to unlock the trial but haven't found any.

Before you ask, I checked the box for trial version during installation so I don't know what went wrong or am I missing something?

Have you had the software installed previously? Is there a reason why you can't just activate with your educational license for the time being?

I had the student version installed previously and removed it so I could replace it with the trial. It didn't work so I removed everything I could find that was related to 3ds Max and installed the trial again. Still the same problem. It keeps asking me for the product key/serial number as if I bought it normally.

Maybe the trial isn't working because I had the student version installed previously? 

I have never heard of an educational license. The only thing I know is that we have the opportunity to buy licenses the 20th of september and 11th of october at our school at reduced prices so we can upgrade our programs to the normal versions. But since the trial doesn't work and we can't use the student version I can't do any of my assigments or practice for about 2 weeks.

If this problem doesn't get sorted out soon, I will have to contact my teachers and work something out but I'd rather not since it is illegal to use the student version in their classes or something like that, I'm not sure.

Hopefully I don't have to buy 3ds Max outside of school because I noticed that it's pretty expensive (we get it for about 150 euro). 

EDIT: I just noticed that when I open the "License Transfer Utility" it does say that I have a trial license. Am I supposed to have a key? I figured you wouldn't need to for a trial.

Hi Jens,

There is NO WAY to revert our software programs back into trial mode after an activation has occurred, without completely reformatting your hard drive. Have you considered downloading / installing (without activating) a different version from the Education Community?

P.S. The student version is the same as the Educational License (acquired from the Education Community).
