STUDENTS - Serial Number or Product Key Issues

You are having problems with:

 

 

  • Getting a Serial Number or Product Key
  • Your 30 day trial is about to expire
  • Your 30 day trial has expired and you can't get a serial number

Hi hike1,

 

As long you have access to your serial number from the download page, whether or not it lists the software on the "Your downlaods" page doesn't really matter.

 

If you do not have access to your serial number, post a request for assistance to the Activation forum here:
http://students.autodesk.com/?nd=support_center&section=ask_question

Your serial numbers are assigned to you during the download, and are stored permanently in your Education Community profile for easy access. If you have not yet been issued a serial number, proceed to the Download Center, select the product that you downloaded, and press the "Get Serial" button to generate one.

All it does is go to the 'download' page for motion builder 2011, I already downloaded it, there's no serial number issued,

even though it says, you will now be issued a serial number, all it does is go to the download software page.

Hi hike1,

 

I don't have access to your student account on this forum. Please repost your question to the Autodesk Education Community forums, in particular the "Activating the Product" forum.

 

One of the forum moderators there will be able to reset your account so you can get your serial number.

 

As an FYI, the serial number should be on the page you downloaded from. It generates a number when you download the program.

I have registered, logged in, and gone to the download sectionof the student site. However, when I get there and try to select a download of any of the products, all I see is: http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/4892/screenshot20110830at126.png

 

What is the issue here? I really need this for class and for homework due tomorrow and none of my classmates seem to be having this problem.

Hi dgeorgiev,

 

Try logging out of the site, clearing your cache and then logging back in.

 

Also,  you may need to disable your anti-virus during the download and installation.

This is not the Autodesk Education Community forum, which I linked to above. To get your serial number go to that website, then go to the Free Software page, then go to the product you downloaded. There should be a serial number there. If not, post to the Education community forum for Activations with the product you need a serial number for.

 

This is not the Education Community, and this forum is not linked to the student community database.

Hi Bryan, 

  I just recently switched from a PC Dell to a brand new Mac OS X.  I am trying to get Maya to install and work on my new Mac.  After I uninstall it from my PC, how do I get a new activation code? Thanks!

You will get a new serial number when you download Maya from the Education Community website.

Dear Autodesk,

I have downloaded  3ds Max Studio fine and have been issued with a serial and product key but the installation will not take the product key that was issued to me?? Why?

 I am located in New Zealand, University of Victoria Wellington, School of Architecture.
