Just installed SAMS report lite on the Win2K server running ADLM. Also installed the JRE English version.
The program starts, but a blank box is seen. Moving the mouse cursor over areas of the box will 'paint' the program screen.
Have tried it at 800x600 and 1024x768, with various color settings, still the same. Have also installed it from several CD's. (Installed from AD 2002 CD on latest try).
I suspect that very few people are using SAM Report
Lite. A few things to check:
1. Virus Protection? One installation I ran into
Fsecure version 5.21 (I suspect partly written with Java) caused SAM to look
like it wasn't doing anything but lo and behold after apr. 15 minutes the SAM
opened!
There are some other java-based apps on that computer, will have to look into conflicts (or install SRL on another system).
Don't think its a virus thing, though. We use McAFee here. The program runs OK, just that you have to move the mouse around the programs' box to display the screen (otherwise it's blank...sort of like wiping the fog off of the bathroom mirror).
What are people using to monitor licenses? The full version of SAMS Reports? That might be a bit expensive for our use.
