Revit changed windows features?

Hi there,

Just tried to install Revit 2014 student version on my new Windows 8 laptop. The 'install now' function did not work and now I am on my way using the download option. I know it is not unheard of for the install now function to fail, but during the process my windows was reset and gave me the message 'configuring windows features, please wait' for quite a while. Is this part of the process for the Revit installation, or was my computer doing something else? Considering the installation did not finish, I am just worried that it did not leave a bunch of litter around in my registry or files. Has anyone heard of this situation?

Thanks,

Ozren

You can use Fix It to check and remove for stray bits of Revit.

I would also use a Browser Download of the software via the EDU portal.
