Revit Architecture 2011 Crashes on Install

Revit Architecture 2011 crashes after the splash install screen directly after install is pressed. The screen that follows says  "A software problem has caused Autodesk Installed to close unexpectedly" and after more details is pressed " Error: Unhandled Exception"

We have successfully installed 2011 on a separate computer but this computer, which runs 2010 just fine, will not install. We have tried turning off the antivirus, installing as administrator and in debug mode. The computer is a dual core Intel 1.86ghz with 3gb ram and WinXP Professional 32bit.

Any help would be appreciated.
