Revit 2014 installation issues

HELP!! I installed Revit 2014 and this message popped up when I tried to open it "the path for the default family templates is invalid". Do I need to reinstall the program or is there something simple I can do to fix this problem?

Default family locations can be set in the options dialog at the bottom of the Revit Menu. See the attached image.

I've tried that. In that same box, the project template files don't even show up. Any other suggestions?

I'm assuming that you're using a Windows 7 or 8 machine. Sometimes renaming the roaming profile folder will force Revit to recreate the default settings. The folder is located at C:\Users\your name\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 2014. Simply rename 'Autodesk Revit 2014' to 'Autodesk Revit 2014 old'.
