Revit 2013 install error " Communication Failure"

Hi,

 

I downloaded the student version to my windows 8 and when I try to install it it says " communication failure"  I turned off all my security walls and firewall and also I have a mail client signed in. But I dont know still what the problem is.

Welcome to the forums! 

 

Revit 2013 is not supported on Windows 8.  You can probably get the student version of 2014 though.

Thanks for the reply but actually it turns out that It Revit 2013 is compatible with windows 8 but the reason was; I moved the setupp file from the original location where I downloaded to from autodesk website. i downloaded the setup again and didnt move it, and it turned out just fine! such small mistakes can take your 2 weeks to figure it out!

Thanks for the follow-up.  However, Revit 2013 is not supported on Windows 8.  I am glad that you got it working though.  Thanks for sharing.
