Revit 2012 install issue: C++ 2005 Redist Security Update

I need to get this resolved as soon as possible.  Any ideas?  I would like to remove the C++ 2005 and just reinstall, but can't seem to do so.

Try installing the prerequisite manually by downloading it from Microsoft.  Once correctly installed, your Autodesk installer should ignore it.

Already tried that.  I've also ran the windows installer cleanup utility to uninstall some of the 2005 C++ updates that couldn't uninstall through Add/Remove Programs. 

Are there some registry keys that need to be deleted for C++?  I had this problem trying to install 2011 last year; it's frustrating to have to go through this again.

For that installation package, it says that it doesn't support Win7.
