Return borrowed license early error

I got the following error when I tried to return a borrowed license early:

Your License cannot be returned at this time. Contact your system administrator for more information. You can still use your product until the license borrow period has expired.

My software is AutoCAD 2004. The License Server was up and running when I tried to return the license.

Please advise.

Jessie

Jesse,
Have you by any chance upgraded your FLEXlm software beyond version 8.3 (i.e. to v92). I did and got the same error message (see TS80362 for details). I was told that I could temporarily set up the old FLEXlm and return the license. Fortunately I was able to let the license time out on its own.

Ok, Jay, I think we have NLM v 8.3c. Should I upgrade to v9.2? Where can I get the software? Is this means I will need to rebuild the server?

Thank you

Jay:

Thank you so much for your help.

How to check my FLEXLM software? I am not the sever engineer.

Where can I see TS80362?

Thank you

Jesse,
If you have FLEXlm v8.3, then my suggestion won't help you. I had that same message because I was running v9.2 so upgrading would definitely not be of any help. Sorry, I hope someone else has a suggestion.
(Sorry not to respond sooner - I was out for a couple of days)
Jay
