Reread still gets the old number of seats

I bought two new seats of LDT and CD. I get the auth codes. I copy them into
the existing .lic file and rename it. I point to the new file in my service.
I reread the license file. It tells me that all went well, but it still is
getting the old number of seats. Any ideas?

TIA

Hi James -

I assume that you got a completely new auth code for the old seats + 2, not
just a new auth code for 2 new seats??? (the # of seats / feature code don't
add together).

Have you stopped, re-read, started? or just re-read? I always did a stop,
re-read, start just because it felt "safer"

According to Jerry @ AU (last), re-read doesn't process the options file if
you're using one. So it makes sense to Stop then Start as a rule.

If you stop and restart the service do you see the correct amount of
licenses ?
Also check you received a license file for the total number of seats you
require and not just for the extra two seats.

Apologies for the last post I did not see any other responses for some
reason when I first looked at it.

Stop and Restart did it...but I'm still nervous about the stupid FlexLM's
protocols for doing this. It should be much easier. Not an autodesk problem,
just one for Flex.
