Hi all,
I had initially installed the freely downloadable Inventor Fusion and Simulation CFD 2013 in my laptop based on my academy email registration. I was of course given a license key and the standalone installation and running was successful.
Now I intend to shift this to another more powerful workstation, and so I installed the suite using the same license key (one email one license). But I was not able to start Simulation CFD due to licensing issue. How can I run it successfully in this workstation? Is there a solution for this?
Thanks for your help!
1. Simulation CFD should only be a network version. I am surprised an activaion code was generated.

2. You will need to generate a network license as noted in this post:

3. You can choose a system in the network that 'never' goes down and set that as the NEW license server. The install of CFD can choose that NEW license server.
4. You can also then borrow a license from the NEW license server if you are running on a laptop as necessary.
