On Jan 1, the motherboard in my PC gave up and I lost everything on the system. I put the hard drive in another computer to try and recover the data with no success, it will boot, but like it was new, nothing more than what came on it when it was new. I have purchased a new PC and need to ACAD 2010 again for my new machine. Is this possible or am I out of luck? Semister starts next week, so I need to find a solution.
Also, I was using WIndows XP Home 32 bit on the old machine and now I am using WIndows 7 Home Premium.

11. Are older versions of software available on the Education Community?
The Education Community generally offers the most current version of a software title plus one version back.
You can install the program as many times as you like as far as I know as long as your still active in your school and meet the criteria for students according to AutoDesk. I had to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional though because of issues with AutoCad and Windows 7 Home. This site is for students and offers the cheapest prices for students. There is a free online download for 32 bit or 64. Otherwise you can purchase it thru windows 7 for $96.00 with tax online. http://msdn01.e-academy.com/elms/Storefront/Storefront.aspx?campus=itt_tech&np1=112
