Yes the redundant server scheme requires an odd number of servers. It will not work with
only 2 (over half the server must be up for it to work). For some general information on
using redundant server see

Autodesk also doesn't recommend redundant servers over a wan (they don't say that it won't
work, only that they don't recommend it, see
