Redundant License Servers over a WAN

I am wondering if anyone here may be able to help me regarding redundant
license servers. We are currently running one instance of ADLM in our main
office but floating the licenses out to multiple branch offices through a
wide area network (WAN). This is based on TCP/IP and all works great until a
WAN segment goes down. At that point, branch office stations can no
longer authenticate with the primary adlm. In reading the knowledge base
article (TD164037 -
http://support01.autodesk.com/knowledgebase/html/147628.htm), it appears
that multiple adlm instances can be pooled together to function as a single
license server, and offer the additional benefit of fault tolerance should
the primary license server not be available (server crash, network problems,
etc.) Implementing this appears straightforward from the article, but I do
have some questions regarding how the license servers coordinate with each
other and how the master adlm is determined. The document says that "The
system with the highest IP address will always be the Master license
server." Our wan is configred with a seperate private subnet for each office
as indicated below and is fault tolerant iteself so when an office node is
down, the other nodes can still communicate with each other.

Corporate, 10.0.0.x

Branch 1, 10.0.1.x

Branch 2, 10.0.2.x

Branch 3, 10.0.3.x

etc.

Each subnet contains multiple servers and routers and we cannot change the
ip configuration of the network for adlm. What we want is for our main
office to be the master license server with branch offices running shadow
instances of adlm. Anyone know how to properly implement this?

Thanks in Advance.

I can't find this anywhere right now but I'm pretty sure that I've read (somewhere) that
redundant servers on more than 1 subnet isn't supported. In actuality running the adlm
over a wan in any form is a violation of the autodesk license agreement, see below
If this Software is a Network Version, you may use it only over an internal [local] area
network environment with the Autodesk License Manager tool, and you may install and
operate the Software on a single server computer in a single location which may be
accessed by other computers, or on an individual computer, as a multiple-user installation
with either:

sorry
