Reactivating the software license

How do I reactivate the software license?  My laptop had to get a new disk drive and couldn't do a license transfer.  The FAQ mentioned reactivating the software license if you reformat the disk, but nothing on how to proceed with that.

Reinstall the product and activate upon first launch while connected to the Internet. Should activation fail, provide Autodesk with your request code for activation by calling 1-800-551-1490.
