REVIT 2013 won't open on Laptop

I've just received my new 2013 Building Design Suite and all has loaded fine on my laptop except for REVIT.  When I try to open the program it freezes within 5 seconds and displays a message saying "Autodesk REVIT has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working properly..."  Is this a hardware problem or Autodesk Software problem?

Many thanks

Try logging in as another user with local admin rights and launching it.

Unfortunately logging in as another user hasn't worked.

I have also repaired the REVIT installation but this made no difference.

It will now not let me uninstall/change at all. Nothing happens when I try via the control panel programs.

So what now?

Try starting Revit again, then check the Windows Event Viewer, Windows Logs, Applications for Errors or Warnings at the time you tried to start Revit.

Thanks,

Danny

I also had this happen a few days ago and have not successfully found a solution. Revit was installed and working fine, then stopped working and will not restart, even after a clean uninstall.

I have the same problem with Revit 2014

The problem will be solved after updating the driver for your graphics card. The very important point is that you shouldn't get the latest driver from your laptop manufacturer. Instead, you should visit the website of the manufacturer of your graphics card. I had the same issue with Revit 2013. I had an XPS Dell L502X laptop and my graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M. I downloaded the driver from DELL website and the problem didn't solve. I did everything to solve the problem, installing a fresh windows, changing the windows form 64 bit version to 32 bit version, trying other versions of Revit, installing the latest service pack for Revit, removing app data,..., but none of them could solve the problem. Finally I found out that the driver provided by DELL is NOT the latest version! After downloading the latest driver from the website of NVIDIA, the problem solved completely.
