There are two common problems I've seen so far:
1) McAfee has a "feature" called "Access protection", that has 2 options
that can interfere with administrators creating Autodesk deployments.
These two (or more for earlier versions) options must be disabled on the
SERVER:
- Prevent remote creating of AUTORUN files
- Prevent remote creation/modification of executable and configuration
files (*.dll, *.ocx, etc)
2) For LDT deployment, Make sure to change the default "D:\Land Projects
2008" to "C:\Land Projects 2008". You will only see that prompt if you
hit the "CONFIGURE" button on one of the screens. It will only default to
the C: drive IF the C: drive is the largest hard drive on the system you
create the deployment from. Your client install will then fail if the
workstation does not have a
😧 hard drive.

I searched the log for the key words he mentioned earlier in the thread and
didn't find any of them.
It just seems odd. Because like you, Civil 3D installed fine for me but LDT
will not.
I have submitted a support request to Autodesk and will post back here if
they resolve this issue for me.
