R14 on XP Pro & Novell "Save As" problem

Recently upgraded from NT 4.0 to XP pro- both running on a Novell network. Autocad seems to run fine except when I perform a 'Save As' to a network folder, I get a 'AutoCAD Message'- "This file name is a reserved device name. Please choose another name." regardless of the actual file name I enter. I can open, modify, and/or save any existing AutoCAD file on the network, just can't do a 'Save As'to any new file name. Problem doesn't ocurr with my local drive.

Any Suggestions?

What client version? There are a few patches depending on your client
version and server version to fix this. 4.83 SP2 is the current client
version. On the client you can try setting the client property SET CLIENT
FILE CACHING ENABLED = OFF. That usually fixes most file locking problems.

Search www.novell.com for nwfs.sys and you will see a few patch versions of
it depending on the client version.
