R14 , XP Pro & Adlm licence

We've just purchased a couple of new boxes with XP pre-installed. I know
R14 is now unsupported but the cash to upgrade was'nt available. That the
way life is....

Installed R14 ok using admin account but now cant get client network license
from our w2k server.
Works fine for other NT boxes in the network.

AdLM query returns :cant find server .....

Any ideas ?

Hi,

do you have R14.0 or R14.01? 14.0 will never work. For R14.01 you can
download a new adesksys.dll that will help. 1st though try setting the
environment variable ACADSERVER = adlmservername on the OS
Environmentsettings. The link to the adesksys.dll is:

http://adeskftp.autodesk.com/prodsupp/autocad2000/patches/adesksys.dll

Whatch out for wordwrapping!
