R14 License Manager Location

A networked licensed R14 cannot start. It worked about one month ago. Error message about license manager not running. Our IT department cannot find the location of the R14 license manager. Are there any server file names to look for that would help them find where they installed the license manager? Or is there something in the local installation of R14 that would show where it looks for the license manager?

Search if you have a variable name "ACADSERVER".
(system variable, not in autocad) It give you the name of the
server.

Workstations may or may not have ACADSERVER set as
it was not required unless the license server was on a remote subnet from the
AutoCAD workstation.  On the server side, look for a file named
"winadmin.exe", that is the program used to generate server codes and enter
authorization codes on the server.  To confirm that the license manager is
in fact installed on that server go to control panel and look for an "Adlm"
icon.

Hi Jerry,

I agree with you.

The only other solution is to search on all servers
the file "winadmin.exe".

Good search.
