To my knowledge, we did not test the Release 13 license management
system on Netware 5 as Netware 5 was released long after the development
life of Release 13.

One of our cutomer is interested in upgrading Novell Netware4 to 5. Since we
have supplied AutoCAD R13 LAN PACK, they are expecting us to confirm the
status. Could you arrange to test the same and confirm the availability

Sankar,

I am not aware of plans to test Release 13 on any new platforms. We have tested
the license management system that comes with AutoCAD 2000 on Netware 5 and have
confirmed that it works on Netware 5 servers running the IPX protocol, it does
not work on Netware 5 servers running TCP/IP protocol. You can not use the
AutoCAD 2000 license management technology to authenticate AutoCAD Release 13
network seats.

To summarize, Netware 5 did not exist during the test and development life cycle
of Release 13, so it has not been and is likely never to be tested on Netware
5. We may be unable to provide assistance if problems arise using our software
on an untested and unsupported platform. The supported solution to Netware 5 is
to upgrade to AutoCAD 2000.
