Does anyone know of any known conflicts between Autocad 2000i & Windows 2000
Server.

Does anyone know the standard (minimum) processor(s) & RAM required when
running a network version with 11 users.

I have not heard of any "conflicts", but each user needs to have "power
user" level privileges to use A2Ki.
Our license server is a p-120 (Classic Pentium) and serves 12-18 people a
day with no trouble.

Thanks for the feedback. Now heres the thing for us ... our users are using
a variety of platforms at the desktop - from Windows 95 (original), Windows
98 2nd Edition & Windows Professional.

Also, do you know how much RAM your server has ... one of our errors has
been a Page Fault error (which sometimes indicates a lack of RAM).

Also, most of our Server is Scuzzi; however the C drive - is IDE and that is
what contains the operating system & the paging file.

Anythoughts about that.

Desktops - I prefer Windows 2000 Pro

Server - recommend 256 MB RAM, ALL SCSI Drives, if you are building a new
server for the license purposes, go with a high end workstation. If it will
be a fileserver as well (storing drawings, etc...) go BIG!

Keep in mind that AutoCAD executes on the local workstation regardless of
where the AutoCAD files are. So a page fault error likely indicates a
problem at the workstation not the server. If you are using a network based
AutoCAD runtree you could be running into network performance problems but
these are usually isolated to bandwidth issues which throwing RAM at the
server will not help. If your 11 seats are heavy AutoCAD users I would try
a "client deployment" where the AutoCAD runtree (program files) reside on
the workstation and access licenses from the network. This is the
configuration we recommend for "production users" as it places less stress
on the server and network bandwidth.
