Our company presently has 3 licenses (stand alone) on subscription (Suite, Routed and Simulation) and we have worked on seperate work stations without using Vault and we have been able to get by this way.
It was not pretty but it worked for us.
We have moved from a single office to seperate locations and now need to work on a network (Windows Server 2008) through a VPN.
We have good, fast network service.
The intent is to run Inventor from the network server and install Vault Workgroup 2011 on the network server as well.
No other applications (with a possible exception being Exel) will be run from the network server.
Questions:
In order to be able to access both Routed and Simulation, do we have to exchange the 3 individual licenses for one Professional with 3 seats?
Will we be very disappointed with speed degradation when working through a VPN?
Are there any links to info I can read regarding this type of a network arrangement?
Thanks
