Product Request Code

I'm trying to set up a Network License Manager, but first I need the license file.  However, I can't get the license file without a product request code, which I can't get until I have a network license manager and can create a package to install autodesk with.  This is quite confusing.

you can get your license code here, you dont need activation request code. this is only for standalone license.

you only need license server name and Mac Address

 

register.autodesk.com

 

or using a manual method

I've gone to that address, and I type in my serial # and then it asks for the product request code and won't allow me to proceed without one.

then you have stand alone license, please install the product as stand alone and the product will activation window will give you the request code or it will activate automatically (online)

Thank you for your help.  I contacted our reseller and they did indeed sell us a standalone.  I am waiting our network license serial number now.  I will mark the case as closed.

I have tried activating my standalone and cannot as I do not have the Product Request Code.  I have gone to the Register/Activation page and there is not a number anywhere on there that shows Product Request Code.  I have tried the numbers after the serial number and am still getting a Error 3.  Should I uninstall and try reinstalling? This is very frustrating as I am behind in my class due to this problem.

Please try cean reinstall

 

check on Autodesk site for how to do clean install for the product you have.

I had the same problem. I could not find the request code they were talking about. So i finally just repeated the download steps. I chose Auto Cad 2011 download, chose 64 bit for my PC, even though i already had it, and the dowload tab appeared on the next page. so i hit it again and this time a dialog box appeared. I chose to install and another dialog box appeared, it was the install wizard, which finally let me install. So maybe just install again and hopefully you will get the install wizard to pop up.
