having a problem where I can't seem to use any switches to silently run the
AutoCad 2002 network client install. When I use a sample installation script
found at
href="http://www3.autodesk.com/adsk/files/874853_Extnsns_WP_MSIscripts.pdf">http://www3.autodesk....
It does not show how to pass certain paramaters, as can be found in the
appsetup.inf that the SETUP.EXE invaritably uses to launch the MSI. Is there
any documentation on how someone can pass variables such as the following;
AcadServerValue (location of network server and its MAC address) or
NetDeployType, etc.. It would be ideal for me to just launch the SETUP in a
silent mode, but it doesn't seem to accept a /q /s or -q -s, or anything I can
think of, and when wrapped with WISE/SMS and told to be run in a hidden state,
it has no effect as it is just spawning MSIEXEC and presumably using variables
parsed from the appsetup.inf file. Anyone solved this riddle, or know where I
can find more thorough documentation of the syntax I can use
?

looks like that would work well for 2004, is there anyway I can use a
transform (MST) file for a 2002 network installation ? If I launch the MSI
with a bunch a parameters, or in a VBS script, how will it find the licensing
server as shown in the appsetup.inf ?
