Problems with FlexLM

I'm running the shipped version of FlexLM and everything worked fine. But
suddenly it runned wild, and started multiple adskflex taking 100% of the
processor and the server vent down. I restarted the server but the problem
is still there. Then I downloaded the latest versions of the FlexLM-files
from globetrotter (8.2a) and the problem was gone. But now I get this
problem insted:
11:17:44 (lmgrd) Starting vendor daemon at port 2080
11:17:44 (lmgrd) Using vendor daemon port 2080 specified in license file
11:17:44 (lmgrd) REStarted adskflex (pid 2040)
11:17:44 (adskflex) Server started on pelle for: 40900INVBUN_5_0F
11:17:44 (adskflex) 40100ARCHDESK_3_3F
11:17:45 (adskflex) Vendor daemon can't talk to lmgrd ()
11:17:55 (lmgrd) Vendor daemon died with status 28

Why this? Do have have to have a newer version of adskflex too, or what?

Stefan,

The current version of ADSKFLEX works just fine with LMGRD 8.2. The change
in behavior you have observed is the result of improvement in LMGRD's error
handling. You still have the same underlying problem which is likely either
another program using TCP Port 2080 or that port is completely blocked.
Common types of software known to cause this are Internet security, proxy,
firewall and virus shields. Keep in mind that Autodesk has registered port
2080 with IANA so you should ask the publisher of any offending software how
to free this port up for ADSKFLEX.

I stoped the server, configurated it for another licence-file, started and
stopped it, pointed it back to the original licence-file and started it
again, and it started with FlexLM 8.2 without any errors. I've got a mail
from another person too that writes that the problem with lmgrd running wild
may be caused by virus shields. He had the same problem, and disabled
virusprotection on c:\flex and the problem was gone. So I will do that too
so maybe the problem wont come back in the future. Thanks for your help
