Problem with Starting License Manager

I have installed a 4 user copy of AutoCAD R2000i and obtained the authorization code - however - when I try to launch the license manager I get a Dr Watson error and the ADLM error > Unable to start service ad_elmd.exe. I installed the license manager from a client machine to the server with no problems until now. The server has the log/key/tcp etc. directories with the appropriate files. The ad_elmd.exe is on the client machine. Any ideas on what I've done wrong ?

AdLM for windows must be installed on the machine to be the AdLM server and
all AdLM files must be local to the AdLM server. Otherwise, you will get
errors.
