    Problem with Loading AutoCAD 2000

I have a problem with loading my network deployment of AutoCAD 2000 and Architectural Desktop. I had already loaded a temporary version of AutoCAD Architectural Desktop on my computer and I uninstalled it thru Control Panel and tried to load my network deployment of AutoCAD 2000/Desktop on my computer and the Dialog Box tells me that I already have 2000 loaded on my computer and it cancels the installation..... HELP!

    Jay,

You probably need to re-boot after the uninstall, if you haven't
already, and then look for and delete any files or directories related
to A2K left on your machine. You may even need to look in the Registry
for things left behind by the uninstall routine.

This isn't particulary safe and not in any way recommended by Autodesk.
Editing your registry can hose your machine. If you're
not comfortable with something then don't do it.

If the only version of a2k that you've installed on this machine is the
temporary adt this should work. If you have other installs post back and
let me know what they are and I'll be more specific about what to delete and
what not to delete. Open your favorite registry editor and go to
hklm\software\Autodesk\AutoCAD and there should be a key called R15.0.
Highlight this key and press the delete key. The network install should
    work now.
