Hi there,

Go ahead and try installing the libraries on thier own by running the MSI files directly and see if they will install that way. If you downloaded the installer they should be in the below directories

C:\Autodesk\AutoCAD_2013_English_Win_32-64bit\Content\ADSKMaterials\2013\CM\MaterialLibrary2013.msi

C:\Autodesk\AutoCAD_2013_English_Win_32-64bit\Content\ADSKMaterials\2013\ILB\BaseImageLibrary2013.msi

If you are installing from a disc the folders are basicly the same but you will need to expore into your DVD drive and find them

Once you have run both MSIs and have installed all the libraries try installing AutoCAD again.

Hi,

I have installed MaterialLibrary2013.msi with success, but when I instaln BaseImageLibrary2013.msi I get an error: "The library could not be installed/uninstalled. Please exit all running application and try again".

I have disabled antivirus realtime guard,  I have closed many processess, but  BaseImageLibrary2013.msi installation still fails.

When you look on your programs and features control panel does an entry already exist for the Autodesk material library Base resolution library 2013? If so please try and uninstall it and re-install from the MSI.

Asbury, you are great!!!

I finally installed autocad.

Now I have another problem, when I launch AutoCAD, it opens for a moment and then it crashes.

Attacched two files, Report.txt with error report and event_log.txt whit windows event log.

Thanks,

I'm sorry to hear you are still having trouble. I can't pinpoint the cause of your crash from that even log but I would suggest you try the following steps.

1.) Update your video card driver to the latest version available from your video card manufacturer.

2. )In your programs and features control panel repair your installation of microsoft .net framework 4.0 client and extended

3.) Try to reset your AutoCAD settings using the reset settings to default tool (http://upandready.typepad.com/up_and_ready/2012/07/the-easiest-way-to-reset-autocad.html)

I did the steps you suggested, but the problem remains.

When I run autocad, after loading everything, it closes.

If I open a file, it opens but when you see the menu bar, the program closes.

How can I check if my graphics card is incompatible??

Help me !!!!

Hi, i've had the same problem but with 3ds... when i try to delete the base resolution Image library 2014 an error says "The library could not be installed/unistalled. Please exit all running applications and try again"... i also tried to repair it unsuccesfully and after unistall from the original folder. I thins it's linked to AutoCAD 2014 although i'm trying to install 3ds 2013.

What can I do?

Thank you

Can you post the setup log from your install so we can see exactly where it is failing?
