Problem in Maya 2010 64 bit.

Hi, I have a problem with maya 2010 64 bit. When I start a new scene or even work on an existing scene everything sort of stops working. It first started when I was inserting edge loops on a project and i was unable to right click and go back to object mode. Now it does it without me having done anything to the scene besides creating a cube or other polygon primitives. I am unable to select anything, I am unable to do anything really. Also when I opened a scene that I was working on at school that had textures and that I was almost finished uv mapping all the uv's were basically screwed up.

In short, my maya is broken and I have no idea why..

Thanks for any help.

Hi Marc-Elliot;

    Sorry to hear you are having troubles with Maya. If you haven't had any changes on the system it's most likely a preference issue. You can rename your prefs from the bleow folders.

Windows: C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\My Documents\maya\x.x\prefs

                  C:\Users\yourusername\My Documents\maya\x.x\prefs
Linux: /home/yourusername/maya/x.x/prefs
Mac: /Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences/Alias/maya/x.x/prefs

   This should reset all the Maya settings to original state, if there's a setting in Maya is causing the slow downs this should clear it out.
