Plot crash

I had to reinstall Autocad 2009, when I type the plot command the program locks up, No matter what drawing I'm in even a sample one. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks,

Steve

Do you have any invalid or offline network printers installed?  Are you using Windows XP or Vista?  Windows 7 is not approved for Autodesk 2009 products.

You might post your question in the AutoCAD 2009 forum for more specific help on this issue:

Can you try searching for you answer via:

I am hoping that the issue has been solved via an older post.

I reinstalled acad 2009, right out of the box, using XP pro, I did not change anything. I'm using an HP 4000N Laser Printer via usb port,

this config. has worked for the past two years have done several hundred jobs. Now I open a sample drawing and type "Plot" press Enter, and the program stops. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Steve

Have you installed the latest service pack?

Are there any other installed printers that are not online or available?  If so, remove them.

Can you print from other applications like MS Office?

Here is the driver for that printer if there is a problem:

Travis, thanks for the reply, I did what your post stated and still no change.

Everything is the same as before.

Thanks,

Steve
