I recently replaced the motherboards in four of the AutoCAD 2000 machine, as
they had been giving problems. They are Gigabyte GA5AA Socket 7 boards with
Cyrix P200+ MX processors and a 32MB DIMM in each.
For some reason AutoCAD will not install on them. The silent install returns
an error along the lines of the following:
"Install cannot create target directory"
Please, if there are ANY ideas, let me know, I need to resolve this ASAP.
Thanks

At what point in the install do you get this? Are you loading AutoCAD into
a sub directory? Ocassionally I have found applications that will not
create a directory and then install to it if the main folder does not exist.
ie. Install to c:\program files\autocad and the folder program files does
not exist. The installer cannot create the Autocad subfolder and is not
trying to creat the program files folder. Just a shot in the dark. Let me
know if this helps.

Thanks, I sorted it out. it seems that the install will not proceed unless
the ADLM is running properly.
